I’m really surprised I was able to get this page done so quickly, it only took two days.
I did try inking with a larger pen that had less weight variation in most of these panels, and I actually kinda like it. The art feels less crunchy at the very least (though I did look at some other comics I love and draw inspiration from and they also look kinda crunchy in some areas so it may just be an unfortunate & unavoidable side effect of resizing pages)(or I’m just being overly critical of my own pages when I never even noticed or cared about this thing when reading other comics).
I don’t know if I’ll stick with it going forward, but I will be experimenting a bit more over the next few pages to see if I can find a happy medium between the pen I use now and this thicker one.
I do love Arcia’s expressions though, despite her snake skin being tedious to render she’s a lot of fun to draw.
Also! I started a new job this week!! I’m hoping by the time this page goes up I’ve got at least enough buffer to carry things into November, but just in case I haven’t and updates suddenly get shaky, that’s why.
